English beetroot. Don't be scared, these are nothing like those horrid things in vinegar! Gently wash, but don't cut them, then get out your pressure cooker and boil for 25 mins (check instructions) Peel and chop them for perfect, tasty beets that can be added to soups and casseroles, roasted or even chipped.
